What I am going to share with you this time around is the steps for easy and perfect on page SEO optimization.


I really mean it when I said that it is easy. So, let’s begin.

1 . The Title Tag Should have Your Preferred Keyword


Let’s say that you are going to talk about weight loss and weight loss is also your preferred keyword.


In your title, you should put the weight loss too such as, “15 Tips On Healthy Weight Loss”.


It depends on your creativity on how to make the keyword blends well with the title.


For the title tag, it is better if you can keep your titles below 60 characters since based on the research, it shows that if you have around 50-60 characters for your title tag, Google will display about 90% of it properly.

2 . Adding Modifiers To The Title


By adding modifiers such as “best”, “2017” and others will help you to rank for your keyword as a more specific keyword or also known as longtail keyword.


For your information, longtail keyword usually has lesser competition.


A lesser competition means that the keyword has a higher percentage of you not competing with others websites which are more authoritative.


3 . Use SEO-Friendly URL


To make the url looks better and not ugly as well as SEO-friendlier, you must make your url as short as possible and keyword rich.


Avoid using url such as itsme.com/01-01-17/thetitle.


It is actually a big no in this case. The best url should be itsme.com/thetitle.


Besides, there are researches that show shorter url is more favorable by Google and will rank better too.

4 . Use <h1> Tag For Your Title


H1 tag is also known as your headline text.


In most CMS such as WordPress, your title will automatically add the H1 tag to it.


Basically, your post title will be wrapped with the H1 tag.


However, if you are using a theme on your website, you should check the setting of the theme first since there a few themes that overwrite the setting for this H1 tag.


5 . Use More Images


Let me ask you a question. Do you prefer to read text or do you prefer to read the text with images too?


What if you can have both?


The latter was known as infographics where you will have an image of something then there are arrows coming out from it highlighting some information.


It can be any image and any graphic.


Most of us prefer to read infographics as they are more simple and eye-catching.


However, you need to understand one thing since infographics focus more on making the information simpler, you will be missing some details of the information.


With images on the site, you can increase more time on the site. It is one of the most important user interacting factors.

6 . Use <h2> For Subheadings

In your content, you will have at least one subheading to highlights minor point of the content.


For the subheadings, it is preferable for you to use the H2 tag. You can also add one of your target keywords in one of your subheadings.



7 . Place Your Keyword in Your First 100 Words

It does not matter how many words your content is. You should ensure that in your first 100 words, there is your keyword in there.



8 . Mobile Friendly

A mobile friendly website means that your website is a responsive design.


It is able to perform at its best even when you are visiting the website by using your mobile phones.


Starting from 2015, Google has been serious in this responsive design issue. Many websites have been closed due to the unresponsiveness.
